HOW COULD YOU DO IT??
We began tonight’s show with one of the most terrifying wrestlers in the company. Eddie Hernandez introduced Lars Nightfall during the Stormchaser Tournament and it’s clear why: no one will mess with Nightfall. But apparently Overload didn’t get the memo as the former World’s Strongest Man walked out of his match with Nightfall right in the middle! Nightfall won by countout and Overload went on to claim he left because he has no respect for Nightfall or any young wrestler in GAW. Nightfall will (hopefully) get a real match on the next episode of Dark.
Backstage, Garrett Gibson promised us all he is a champion we can be proud of and dared Lancelot or Kurt Andrews to come take his title.
MidNight makes his debut on Stormchaser, you will recognize him from his dominant victory on the first episode of Dark. It was more of the same this night as MidNight dropped Mexican Shia with the Sleep Walker to win.
Ulysses Sky asked commissioner Jason Parker to give him a match with anyone willing to take him on. He quickly lived to regret that decision when he saw the famous underground champion Santanico walk down to the ring. The European-trained debutant ran straight through the arrogant Sky, forcing a tap-out after two minutes with the Crimson Abyss.
La Tortuga Roja claimed he know Jackel better than anyone and he knows Jackel will do the right thing in their main event match. If only he were right… After the lucha legend nearly got the upset with the Chapoteo splash, Jackel showed his true moral character. The young man ripped off a turnbuckle pad in the corner to expose the hard metal turnbuckle ring and slammed Roja repeatedly into it to gain the advantage. But when the referee turned to replace the pad, it got worse… Jackel delivered a vicious low blow to his former mentor and picked up the dirty victory.
Jackel will address the crowd to open the show next week. In addition, Japanese phenom Yamamoto returns to action, Jason Parker has a special announcement AND we get to see Kurt Andrews take on the face of the Academy Eddie Hernandez!
