THE MOB IMPLODES!
We begin tonight’s show with a major announcement! 25 years after Hulk Hogan and the Outsiders changed the world of wrestling, GAW is going to do it again in the same place at the same event! Bash at the Beach starts April 12!
The first match of the night was a blindingly fast one as Bandido takes on Suicide. LAX creator Hernandez sent out a tweet right after the huge announcement of Bash promising LAX will have a presence on that show. Bandido ventured to prove him right by putting away Suicide with a huge elbow drop.
Backstage, Jay White suggests to Drew McIntyre that they revisit their old ties in the Bladerunner group and team again. McIntyre appeared to accept…
Bianca Belair turned heads by challenging the outspoken US Champion Teagan Nox two weeks ago and she payed for it as Nox attacked her and put her out of action. Now Belair is back and she showed she is the real deal, putting away Charlotte Flair with a KOD. The ball is in Nox’s courts now.
Backstage, Team Kick addresses all the rumors around them. Kai explained they’re not out to earn love from anyone anymore and adding she doesn’t respect anyone in the GAW Academy. Nox concurred and added Belair should tread carefully as she doesn’t want to share the same fate as Kacy Catanzaro.
WALTER and Will Ospreay shared the ring in one of the best matches of season 1. Ospreay came out on top on that occasion and the new #1 contender wants revenge. The Ring General got just that, stopping Ospreay from hitting the Stormbreaker and beheading him with a brutal lariat to pick up the win.
Time for the main event! CM Punk takes on Bobby Lashley with the Intercontinental Title on the line. Backstage, Conor McGregor explains he didn’t want Punk and his “toxic” fans ruining the group he so carefully built and that’s why McGregor kicked Punk out. The champ-champ proved to be as useful to Lashley in the ring as ever, distracting Punk and sliding in weapons so as to make sure Lashley was on top the whole way. Lashley brutalized Punk during the match, finally putting the former world champ away with a spear.
Next week, Ricochet battles PAC plus Jay White and Drew McIntyre team for the first time in almost a year!
