JACKEL WON'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!!
Bash at the Beach begins in two weeks and we have several matches to sort out! But tonight began with a blood feud that has been going on for two months now and it’s time for it to end. We revealed photos captured from last week’s show after Lars Nightfall’s win in the main event; Overload returned from suspension and beat down Nightfall again. Jason Parker backstage was incensed and told Overload he would have to battle Nightfall in a street fight tonight. That match would come later…
Our first match was supposed to be Jackel making his return against Max Ultimate but it wasn’t to be. As Ultimate made his entrance, Jackel chased him down and beat him with a Singapore Cane, sending Ultimate crashing out of the ring in a heap. Jackel grabbed a microphone and addressed his former mentor La Tortgua Roja. Jackel said he wasn’t dangerous enough to beat his former teacher but it’s time for him to put Roja away. Jackel challenged Roja at Bash at the Beach and promised the veteran wouldn’t be walking out. We found out that match will happen in a steel cage at the big event!
Next up was the street fight promised earlier and it started as expected with Overload beating Nightfall from behind with a chair as Nightfall was getting ready to make his entrance. The two brawled through the entire backstage area nearly ending each other’s career. Finally, Nightfall slammed Overload into the ground with a chokeslam for the knockout and the win. Nightfall will still compete in the Academy Title #1 contenders match next week.
Backstage, women’s champion Lazzara addressed Katherine Sakamoto, saying the arrogant former MMA superstar wouldn’t make a good champion and it’s only a matter of time before Yamamoto becomes a champion.
Elsewhere, La Tortuga Roja responded to Jackel from earlier, claiming Roja taught Jackel everything he knows but not everything Roja knows…
Our next match saw WAR take on the promising young duo of Andrew Wesley and Franky Omega. For as good as the new team has looked, WAR is at a different level. The 13-time tag team champions put away the new team with a Vick Cassidy bear hug to Wesley. This win secured WAR a spot in the title match at Bash at the Beach.
Garrett Gibson addressed Lancelot’s attack from last week and he was angrier and more aggressive than we’ve ever seen him. He told Lancelot he wants a fight at Bash at the Beach and if he can’t win there, he doesn’t know what his future will hold.
Our main event finally came with a four way dance for RAW Title #1 contendership. Ulysses Sky, Stefford Drummond, Scott Danielson and Igris battled for the honor. Igris enjoyed a star-making performance as he eliminated all three men on the way to grabbing the win. He beat Drummond with a Reaper’s Embrace, rolled over Sky after he missed a Sky Elbow and pinned Danielson just a minute later with another Reaper’s Embrace. At just 20 years old, Igris will fight the undefeated MidNight for a title at Bash at the Beach!
Next week we’ll see Wesley&Omega vs. Lieter&Dagonite for the last spot in the tag title match at Bash, an Academy title #1 contenders match and a special six man tag featuring Gibson, Eddie Hernandez and Yun-Son Park taking on Lancelot and two mystery partners!
