THE ATTITUDE
IS BACK!
In the first match of the night, the Usos had to confront a big issue. Even though they’ve been champions for the better part of the last year, the Usos have been criticized for not showing that same swagger and attitude we’re used to seeing from them. That all changed tonight as the Usos declared it was time for the old Jimmy and Jey to return. It’s worth your time to watch the full speech from both men and it led to one of the most dominant Usos performances yet. Even though TMDK is the hottest team in GAW right now, they ran into a buzz saw in the reinvented Usos. Jey Uso put the pressure on TMDK early, Jimmy hit an Usos Splash, the two tossed Nick Miller out of the ring and Jimmy forced Shane Thorne to tap out with the Tequila Sunrise. The Usos were dangerous enough before; now that they’ve returned to their roots, who beats them now??
Garrett Gibson and Lancelot fight for their careers in GAW. After months of jabs, attacks and blood, it was time for the two to finally settle everything. This was one of the great matches you will ever see in General Admission Wrestling. The two beat the holy hell out of each other for 20 minutes. Lancelot promised not to use a weapon during the course of the match and stuck to that promise… mostly. Gibson used several weapons against Lancelot throughout and you could see visible welts forming on Lancelot’s body from all the punishment. After what felt like an eternity of a brutal beating, Gibson believed he had the match won with the All American Clothesline. Lancelot kicked out. Gibson was distraught and made a fatal mistake: he allowed Lancelot to get to his feet. Lancelot dropped Gibson with the RTD but that still wasn’t enough! Both men had hit their kill shots and neither one was effective. Finally, the match came down to a broken promise by Lancelot. He assured everyone he wouldn’t use a weapon during the match but he broke that promise. He dragged Garrett Gibson onto a steel chair in the ring and hit the EMP pile driver right onto the cold metal. It’s the first time we’ve ever seen the EMP used in GAW and it was as dangerous as it sounds. Lancelot got the three count and Garrett Gibson’s GAW career is over. It was a sobering moment for everyone as we all realized how much Garrett Gibson still had to give to GAW and now he won’t get that chance.
