CHAOS AT
AFTERPARTY!

Afterparty is finally here and it is as insane as promised.

We begin in the ring with Charlotte Flair taking on Bianca Belair. The story here is simple: Bianca Belair is champion, Charlotte Flair believes she deserves it. The match started the night off right. Flair kicked out of the electric chair drop but succumbed to the Kiss of Death; Bianca Belair becomes the first champion to retain.

The Usos and TMDK battle again, this time in a falls count anywhere match. But the match was so fast and fought at such a frenetic pace, neither team even had the opportunity to leave the ring. In fact, most of the match was contested in half the ring. Both teams had big opportunities including a Tequila Sunrise from Jimmy Uso and a Nick Miller Liger Bomb but neither was enough. Finally, the Usos ejected Nick Miller from the ring and Jey Uso drilled Shane Thorne with a super kick. Miller was able to get back in the ring but he was half a second late to break up the pin. The Usos retain.

Backstage, Bandido delivers a poignant message: Bobby Lashley has not worked hard enough to win, Bandido has worked too hard to lose in their title match. Is he right? We find out as the two step into the ring. Bandido certainly looked good early on, possibly due to the referee’s refusal to pay attention to Lashley’s corner man Conor McGregor. Bandido hit the poison-rana and a Heatseeker and it looked like we were going to get a new champ. But Lashley kicked out and slammed Bandido with the dreaded Dominator. But Bandido kicked out! Before the fans (and Lashley) could even recover, Bandido caught the champ coming in and applied a vicious cross arm breaker, forcing the champ to tap out. Bandido is the new Intercontinental Champion!

For the first time ever, a world title will be defended in a tables match. The two women tasked with entering into a match as unpredictable as this are two women who are unpredictable in and of themselves. Dakota Kai defends her title against Ronda Rousey and while Rousey is one of the most experienced fighters in GAW, almost none of that experience comes from pro wrestling and none of it in tables matches. This meant Kai was a significant advantage and she knew it. Both women went for tables early but it was Kai who made the first move, catching Rousey in a tear drop suplex, driving her through a table set up in the ring to retain.

Our main event is upon us; Aleister Black defends his World Championship in a no disqualification match against the terrifying WALTER. This match was as brutal as we all expected. It was almost entirely strike-based and it was jaw-droppingly vicious from both sides. WALTER used a chair to open up a gash on Black’s head, the blood seeping into the champ’s eyes almost immediately. Black fought it off, kicking out of a powerbomb and lighting a table on fire in response. Black dropped WALTER with the Black Mass but the big man kicked out, mirroring their first matchup at Bash at the Beach. WALTER seemingly had the match locked up when he powerbombed Aleister Black through the table Black himself had set a blaze. Miraculously, Black kicked out again, enraging WALTER who wrapped a chair over Black’s skull several times in a row. Black finally stopped the onslaught and took the chair from WALTER. In what was clearly an adrenaline-fueled burst of energy, Black tossed the chair back at the Austrian and followed it up with a massive Black Mass to the chair. It slammed WALTER in the head, knocking him out cold instantly. Black pinned and retained the World Championship in one of the most brutal matches in GAW to date.
