HOW COULD YOU STOOP LOWER??
Team Kick is backstage before Tegan Nox’s match and they make it very clear: Ronda Rousey is not welcome in the World Championship picture anymore. Nox goes so far as to threaten Rousey should Nox ever see her again.
The first match sees Nox take on Kairi Sane and, while Nox has been very inconsistent as of late, she was firing on all cylinders today. Sane was barely able to get any offense in as Nox beat her down and pinned her with two chokeslams. But the day was not done yet for Team Kick and Sane…
Dakota Kai hit the ring with a table in hand. With Sane still reeling from the chokeslams she received during the match, Kai picked her up and blasted her through the unforgiving wood. Kai stood over Sane’s prone body and counted to ten, mocking the fan favorite as she lay there. Kai had one last message for Rousey: if Rousey faces Kai again, she may not get back up.
The Usos may have found their new tag team challengers; and it’s a familiar foe. The Guerillas of Destiny battled TMDK in a brilliant match. It was fast and hard hitting as we expected but the real fireworks came at the end. All four men were in the ring after Shane Thorne broke up a pin following a Tonga Loa running power slam. But just as it seemed like Thorne had the upper hand on Tama Tonga and spun him around for the Clothesline From Down Under, Tonga Loa threw his body into Thorne’s back. Thorne was stunned, Tama Tonga was saved and Tonga Loa hit a second running power slam on Nick Miller to seal the win.
After the match, the Tag Team Champions hit the stage. The Usos said they would be happy to fight GoD as the Usos believed they have reinvented themselves and they are out to prove that they are the undisputed best in the world.
Backstage, Bandido is alone addressing Bobby Lashley. He says, even though he greatly respects Rey Mysterio and his mentorship, no one can understand how Bandido feels. Bobby Lashley has attacked his family; Bandido says no one can understand how he feels but rest assured, Lashley will not get the Intercontinental Title back.
Our main event sees Cody Rhodes back in the ring, this time against the always dangerous Jay White. It was clear from the off Cody was not 100% after his match with Bobby Lashley last week and White took full advantage. The Switchblade put Rhodes down with a Kiwi Krusher to win. After the match, though, fan boos turned to raucous cheers as Damian Martinez’s music hit. The fans waited, but no sign of Martinez. Then the boos returned. Drew McIntyre dragged out Martinez’s unconscious body to the top of the stage while he and Jay White reveled in their violence.
We did get one huge announcement at the end of the show: World Champion Aleister Black returns next week!
