WHO WILL CHALLENGE JACKEL??

Last week, a mystery man said he was going to challenge Jackel and this week we found out who he was. Ramon Gutierrez stood in the ring to start the show and told Jackel he is an embarrassment to the long history of Mexican wrestling. But when Jackel’s music rang out to answer the challenge, the arrogant luchador didn’t show. Instead, he used the distraction to slide into the ring behind Gutierrez and attack him from behind. After a Rolling Storm, Jackel demanded the bell ring to start the match. Gutierrez fought valiantly but it was too much to overcome. Jackel hit a Face Wrecker for the win.

Backstage, Sophia Sweetness insulted Lazzara and declared she was already too good for the former champ’s lessons. Derrick Cole confidently claimed he will sweep Ulysses Sky in their series and that we are all in the primetime now. Ulysses Sky… wasn’t a fan of being interviewed.

After being attacked by the man he trusted to protect the Academy, Eddie Hernandez returns to the ring. Even after an attack from Nightfall last week and even while facing a much bigger opponent in Overload, Hernandez showed why he’s still one of the best in the world. He caught the former strongman going for a big right hand and planted him with a urinage for the win. After the match, Hernandez ran into his enemy backstage. He and Nightfall silently exchanged glares but did not come to blows on this occasion. Hernandez walked away without a word.

The former Academy champion Scott Danielson stepped into the ring against the promising young rookie Chandler Marcy. The match was even, showing the growth of the former Defensive Player of the Year, but Danielson demonstrated his experience by outlasting the rookie. Danielson hit a Bladerunner for the win. The real story, however, came after the match. Lancelot came out to the ramp and, in so many words, challenged Danielson in two weeks. This should be interesting…

Backstage, Kurt Andrews warns Flyboy he will be back for the title that was stolen from him. Flyboy was conspicuous by his absence on this show.

In our main event, Oliver Parker returns to the ring. As far as his opponent Xavier Cross has come in his short GAW career, Parker is still one of the top wrestlers in the world. Parker slid out of the Kronwalled Hawk Slayer moments before Cross locked it in and slammed Cross’s head against the top rope with a vicious face buster for the win.

Next week, Kurt Andrews returns to the ring when he takes on Andrew Wesley, Lars Nightfall steps in against Lance Woods plus Derrick Cole goes for the sweep in match 4 of his series with Ulysses Sky!
