JASON PARKER SIDES
WITH HIS SOLDIERS

A very territorial Jason Parker opened the show, decidedly siding with the GAW Academy in their all-out war with Storm. Parker warned something would have to be done if the fighting continues so he counseled all the Academy wrestlers to have each others’ backs.

Derrick Cole took on Xavier Cross in the first match and encountered more resistance than he was expecting. Cross put up an incredible fight, nearly locking Cole in the Kronwalled Hawk Slayer twice. Cole was able to drop Cross with quick flurry of moves and, while Cross was forced to grab the rope on the cover, Cole deliberately blocked the ref’s sight line. No one said Cole had great sportsmanship.

After the match, Cole again turned his attention to Storm but this time, Storm had brought the fight to the Academy. Will Ospreay attacked Cole with a steel chair and left him laying on the ground.

Cole’s LVC tag team Pretty Bad Deal continued their impressive first few months in GAW with a convincing win over Woods Club. While Shawn Alexander remained the legal man for the duration of the bout, Jacob Ace did more than his share of work, clearing the ring for Alexander to hit a double death valley driver on Lance Woods for the win.

Chris Danger revealed his New Year’s resolutions in the only way he can: with an over-the-top video. Long story short, Danger called out Kofi Kingston specifically. Despite claiming to not care about the ongoing war, Danger is still challenging Storm wrestlers like the rest of the Academy.

In what has become LVC’s night, Angelo Diaz takes on Chandler Marcy in the RAW Title tournament. Marcy is another hot young rookie who has made waves in GAW this season but he’s never had to deal with a powerhouse like Diaz. The match was very even for the duration but it seemed that Marcy had locked things up when he hit a spectacular top rope powerbomb. But Diaz shockingly kicked out which marked the end of Marcy in the match who had given his last bit of energy to hit the move. Diaz dropped him with a spectacular spinning powerbomb to pick up the win and advance to face Igris in the next round.

In the main event, Devon Andrews returns to action against Jackel. The match was as good as you’d expect given the quality of the two men but Andrews was the better wrestler on this occasion. The brawler avoided a sky-high springboard moonsault from Jackel and hit the Final Judgement for the win.

Backstage, though, Lancelot’s pirate hunt put him in Kurt Andrews’ path. The champ dropped Kurt onto the concrete with an EMP and blew a disrespectful kiss at brother Devon.

Back in the ring, another brawl erupted, this time between Storm’s Ronda Rousey, Shayna Baszler and Charlotte Flair and the Academy’s Ballesca Pierce, Lazzara and Queen Alexia. It took nearly five minutes to separate the women but, amazingly, that wasn’t even the most surprising thing at the end of the show. Lancelot officially agreed to fight Devon Andrews in a last man standing match for the Academy Championship next week on Stormbreaker!

There truly is no better reason to subscribe to GAW right now!
