Gibson, Moore, Island Nation Fight Back
Evolution is headed to Egypt! For the first time in GAW history, we will broadcast a show from Cairo and we already know the main event: Derrick Cole will challenge Garrett Gibson with the title on the line! We hear from both men and it’s clear this is more than a clash of styles: it’s a clash of philosophies.
Our first match sees Yamamoto taking on Sophia Sweetness ahead of Moto’s #1 contender’s match with Queen Alexia. And if you know anything about Alexia, you know she couldn’t stay away from this contest. When the ref’s back was turned, Alexia stormed the ring and clotheslined the hell out of Moto. Sweetness took full advantage and went for the pin but it would take more than that to put Moto away. She survived and blasted Sweetness with the Rainmaker for the win. Later on, Sweetness had the gall to call out Lazzara for getting in other people’s business.
Backstage, Eddie Hernandez and Yun Son Park challenge the Titans to a match at Cairo.
It then took Devon Andrews more time to get to the ring than it did for him to beat a local grappler. It may not have been the most difficult match of Andrews’ career, but the ease with which he disintegrated his opponent has to give RAW champion Santanico some pause.
Next up, Joshua Moore steps up to defend his former training partner Xavier Cross who was attacked last week by Igris. Moore challenged Igris and showed he was more than just talk by defeating Flyboy in a blistering match. Moore got the upper hand permanently after surviving a Flyboy Bomb by hitting a spectacular double rotation moonsault. He finished things off with All on the Line.
Backstage, we saw Igris talking with Dagonite in what they clearly assumed was a secret meeting. The most chilling part of this conversation came when Igris encouraged Dagonite to be more brutal and take more control despite Lieter’s status as a legendary tag team wrestler.
Our main event sees Island Nation in their first match since being attacked by Jon Gotti and Nathan Rotunda as they take on Max Ultimate and Ramon Gutierrez. The two Season Two standouts are incredibly tough but there was no stopping a motivated and angry Island Nation in this match. They used their tremendous teamwork to isolate Ramon and allow Eddie Tonga to hit the dangerous Island Blood for the win.
Igris will be back in action next week on Evolution as we are just a couple weeks away from Evolution: Cairo so make sure you subscribe now!
