SUSPENSIONS FOR TWO MASSIVE STARS

Our program begins with one of the true legends of the Underground making his GAW debut. Like so many other Underground pioneers have, Braddock has finally come to GAW. He takes on Eddie Tonga in his first match and, all at once, he showed why he’s such a feared wrestler in the Underground. His toughness, versatility and athleticism all stole the show as he weathered every one of Tonga’s attacks, finally ending the match with a spectacular spinning snap powerslam. Later on in the show, RAW Champion Santanico promised to drag Braddock to hell when they meet with the title on the line.

Backstage, Igris and Dagonite speak in one of the most terrifying segments so far this season. It’s well worth a watch if you haven’t seen it as it goes a long way to explaining why Dagonite left the Titans last week. We also saw Lazzara requesting one final match to scout Yamamoto before they face off for the Rise Title.

Eddie Hernandez battles Jacob Ace before their two teams face off with the titles on the line. During the match, we saw Yun-Son Park and Shawn Alexander brawling backstage as it seems the bad blood between Park and  the Las Vegas Connection still runs thick. In the ring, Ace pulled off the biggest win of his career and certainly the biggest upset we’ve seen in GAW so far this season. He survived the Driveby from Hernandez and hit two huge stunners to defeat half of the tag team champs.

Backstage, Garrett Gibson and Lancelot continue their vicious battle, one that has gone on for weeks. It’s when Lancelot is thrown directly into a broadcast camera, cutting its feed and disrupting the show, that Commissioner Jason Parker finally stepped in. The commish announced both men would be suspended until Bash at the Beach where he would have an announcement about their fate.

In our main event, Lee Carr, Xavier Cross and debutant TJ Frost battle in a #1 contenders match. Frost made it clear he was already looking past these two toward the Apex Champ and, to be very fair to the man, he seemed to have complete control for most of the match. He even pulled off the best combination of the contest as he hit Carr with the Kill Shot and turned right around to catch Cross with a spinebuster. He followed that up with a vicious powerbomb to Carr that seemed to end the match. But Derrick Cole never forgets. The champ hit the ring, broke up the pin attempt and threw Frost out of the match completely. Cross hoped to take advantage of Carr but the Ultimate Cinderella once again proved he is one of the most resilient men on the planet. He caught Cross with a Green Out and, just like that, became the new #1 contender. But after the match, Cole had another ace to play. Angelo Diaz hit the ring and brutalized Carr, slamming him on the outside to thunderous boos.
