SURPRISE US TITLE MATCH!

For the first time since his #1 contender match with Bandido, Taiji Ishimori returns to a GAW ring. This time, he’s battling 25-year veteran Low-Ki in a brutal back-and-forth affair. Low-Ki used his trademark kickboxing style to try to keep Ishimori off balance but the IWGP Jr Heavyweight Champion was not to be denied. He locked Low-Ki in a vicious crossface to win the match.

Backstage, World Champion Keith Lee brings up all of Jay White’s past failures to win the top prize in GAW and concluded this time was going to be no different. Rey Mysterio overtly challenged Ishimori on behalf of Bandido for the IWGP Jr Heavyweight crown.

Chris Sabin takes on one of his oldest friends Chris Harris in the Wildcat’s GAW debut. Sabin had a statement to make ahead of his title match with James Storm at Bash at the Beach and he certainly did that, mashing Harris with an incredibly innovative street cutter-into DDT.

Backstage, Drew McIntyre and Gable Steveson make their Bash match official. It will be the first time ever that a match is sanctioned by both wXw and GAW and McIntyre’s wXw title will be on the line. McIntyre tried to act above it all but Steveson finally poked the bear by calling McIntyre’s career successes into question. McIntyre tried to respond with a claymore but Steveson was one step ahead of him, slamming him through the table.

In the main event, US Champion Ember Moon agrees to a surprise US Title match against Shotzi Blackheart. Blackheart defeated Moon in an upset last week and the champ won’t wait to give Blackheart the title match she earned. During the contest, we learned Bianca Belair will also get a US Title match at Bash against the winner of this contest. Moon seemed to know in advance that her normal offensive strategy would not work against a woman as varied as Blackheart so the champ made a change, tapping Blacheart out with a leg-trapped crossface she calls Fallen Skies.

After the match, Chris Danger interrupted the show to announce his rematch with Consequences Creed at Bash will be a street fight…
