The Gunslinger is Back

Just two weeks to go before Battle at Broadway and the stakes are higher than ever. We begin this show with a Rise Title #1 contenders match as Kaitlyn Dunlap takes on Kristin Sakamoto. Kristin is extremely dangerous as she’s always been, but Dunlap is truly hitting her stride. The Goddess defeated the former MMA standout with the Kiss My Boot to become Yamamoto’s #1 contender.

After the match, former Apex Champion Lancelot made his entrance to respond to Omega Wood’s passionate speech last week. Lancelot brought up his superior record against both Woods and Santanico on the Underground and promised to reclaim the RAW Title he had won so prolifically on the Underground. Later in the show we would see Santanico responding to both men in his terrifying way and it’s becoming more and more clear the three men are on the road to a truly historic clash in the Manhattan Center.

Backstage, Derrick Cole gives marching orders to Marco Diaz as the champ is convinced the Gotti Crime Family is behind the recent attempts to take him out.

Garrett Gibson returns to the ring for the first time since the Three Strikes match against Dagonite. The massive enforcer from Reaper District 7 was fresh and aimed to overpower Gibson, but even a less-than-100% Garrett Gibson is more than enough in almost any match. The former champ showed his toughness and grit by cracking Dagonite with the ripcord knee for the win. After the match, though, Braddock finally pounced. The Underground legend attacked Gibson ahead of their clash at Broadway.

The Demon Wolves enter for their first GAW match against the team they assaulted last week, Pretty Bad Deal. As good as the LVC team is, the Demon Wolves are another beast entirely as they separated and destroyed the young pairing, winning the match with a huge chokeslam.

Backstage, Igris challenged MidNight to a match at Broadway and promised to “bring Gore,” a clear reference to his increasingly-violent nature. We also got the announcement that OSHA’s least favorite son Stefford Drummond will return to host the Battle at Broadway event… Lord help us all.

In the main event, the Gunslinger Omega Woods returns for his first match of Season 3 against Lee Carr. It was a fast and furious affair, Carr avoided several Gunslinger attempts while Woods stayed well clear of the dreaded Green Out. Woods had one new trick up his sleeve though: the new and improved Colt 45. Woods skied off the middle rope and smashed Carr’s head into the ground with his boot, putting an emphatic exclamation point on his first win of Season 3.
