the two hottest wrestlers throw down
For the first match of the night, the Little Dragon makes his triumphant return as he prepares to fight Franky Omega Jr. at Nitro 12. He took on an old enemy in Marlon Wright and Dragon showed he has ramped up to a new level of aggression. He got the guillotine locked in on Wright but he wasn’t done there as he continued hitting more and more moves to put him down. Both he and Omega Jr. are ready to take their hostilities into Seattle.
Backstage, Apex Champion Igris found Mr. Sinister once again to discuss their plans for Abbadon at Nitro. Igris arranged for a match but now all they need is an opponent for the rookie. They settled on long-time Underground enforcer Kendrick Gore in an ironman match on the biggest show of the year.
Lazzara takes on fellow Academy graduate and GAW veteran Martina Del Sol. Lazzara has been challenged by Isis who continued her trash talk today. But Lazzara, as usual, was all business against the Brazilian. Lazzara won the match and it was just moments later we got it confirmed the former Rise champ will battle the Underground standout at Nitro 12.
Jason Parker announced this main event would be a #1 contender’s match for the Apex Title because both men had earned it. It’s Ramon Gutierrez and Max Ultimate. The match was brilliant. Both men know each other so well it was a defensive battle throughout. The respect was undoubtedly there but, at the same time, you could see the desperation on their face to start their journey to immortality. But after 10 minutes of pitched combat, we had no winner. The biggest match of the night was a draw. And while Storm is dealing with their own issues involving their World Champion, we’re now surrounded by questions about the Apex Title as well.
