CAN JACKEL GET HIS WIN BACK??
Bash at the Beach rolls on with one of the most bloody feuds we’ve seen in the GAW Academy. Jackel turned on his mentor La Tortuga Roja a few months ago and the two have been locked in bloody combat ever since. Roja pulled the upset in a no DQ match at Stormchaser: Sydney and now it’s Jackel’s turn for revenge in the steel cage. There is no escape in this match so it just comes down to wrestling skill. Roja controlled the early going, once again showing more than glimpses of his younger self. But the veteran tried for one move too many as he went for his classic springboard moonsault. Jackel got his knees up, hit a Face Wrecker then a Rolling Storm for the win.
Backstage, new broadcast partner Nick Gray talks with Ricochet after the One and Only’s tremendous match with Bobby Lashley. But while so many after the match believed Ricochet was now back on track, the former Cruiserweight Champion thought differently. He dejectedly told Nick that he had no answers for his recent performances and he was disappointed in himself. He sullenly walked away, leaving many wondering what’s next for the man who has had so much success in the past.
Our final match of night two saw Tegan Nox defending her US Championship against Bianca Belair. Nox has been more involved with her Team Kick partner Dakota Kai’s rivalry with Ronda Rousey and it showed as Nox was completely unprepared for what Belair brings to the table. The quiet, humble Belair did what she does best and overwhelmed Nox with her athleticism. The end came after a KOD from Belair and, just like that, we have a new United States Champion!
Coming up on night three, the Rumble on the Beach for Intercontinental Title #1 contendership and Dakota Kai vs Ronda Rousey with the Women’s World Championship on the line!
