WE'RE BACK!! AND
WE'RE NOT ALONE
After a longer than expected delay, the Evolution roster is rested and ready for the biggest season of GAW yet. But before we move forward, Garrett Gibson has to answer for his title win. At Nitro, the Lone Star defeated the reigning champ against all odds to claim the title. But Gibson was not allowed back into GAW after he lost a loser-leaves match to Lancelot in Season 2, a fact Commissioner Jason Parker reminded him of in the ring. But, as the fans booed his potential decision, Parker confirmed he would not be stripping Gibson of the title. The man in charge reassured Gibson that, even though he was technically not allowed back in the company, Lancelot signed the match contract willingly and Gibson earned his win. This did not sit well with Derrick Cole, maybe the top rookie from last season, who came out with some venomous words. The long and the short: Derrick Cole intends to challenge Gibson for the title.
In the first match of Season 3, Yamamoto takes on Martina Del Sol as part of a four-woman eliminator to crown Lazzara’s next challenger. Del Sol came out hot but Moto answered with Del Sol’s Red Eye move. She capped off an excellent offensive performance with a Rainmaker to win.
Backstage, Eddie Hernandez announced he will be renewing his open contract to be answered by any rookie in GAW next week.
Santanico defeated MidNight after a year of uninterrupted RAW Title dominance; now the new champ looks to assert his dominance over the division with his first title defense. Flyboy answered the call with his obnoxious entrance but that didn’t help him defend from Santanico’s onslaught. The champ melted Flyboy with a Dead Man’s Lobotomy and a vicious piledriver for the successful defense. After the match, still-free agent Devon Andrews came out to stare down the champ.
Kristin Sakamoto is an amazingly-trained fighter but she was no match for Queen Alexia on this night. Alexia used her incredible athleticism to down Kristin and finished her off with a beautiful springboard moonsault. Alexia and Moto will rematch their dramatic Nitro 11 draw to win the right to fight champion Lazzara.
The main event featured two of the most promising tag teams in the world as Island Nation battled Pretty Bad Deal. The two got into it during a pre-match press conference and that bad blood continued in the match as the four men brawled all over the arena. But after several very close calls broken up by PBD, Eddie Tonga finally put Shawn Alexander away with a powerbomb/Samoan drop combination. But the party was just getting started.
The winners were attacked by a monster of a man who speared Kobayashi and choked Tonga out. The massive fighter was followed by a smooth-talking man who called himself Jon Gotti. He introduced the large attacker as Nathan Rotunda. Gotti watched on as Rotunda destroyed Island Nation before promising to do “business” in GAW.
