CHAMPIONS HAVE ENEMIES, CHALLENGERS HAVE SECRETS

It was an emotional night from the beginning as we build up to the collapse of the Wing Collectors. We begin with MidNight defending his RAW Title for a 14th time against Dagonite. It’s been said ad nauseum that Dagonite is built for this kind of match and MidNight was probably tired of hearing it. He slipped out of one of Dagonite’s devastating powerbombs and hit the Sleepwalker to win. After the match, the lights went dark and were bathed in an eerie red glow. Santanico’s voice rang through the arena, once again promising to end MidNight’s title reign and undefeated record.

Backstage, Devon Andrews is attacking Tag Team Champion Eddie Hernandez and pulverizes him with a steel chair. Only Hernandez’s partner Yun-Son Park can stop the assault but the damage may have already been done.

Back in the ring, Champion Ballesca Pierce comes face to face with her Nitro challenger Lazzara. While Ballesca remains convinced her triumph in their first meeting a few months ago means an inevitable victory at Nitro, Lazzara thinks otherwise. Either way, it will be a meeting of the two best female wrestlers on Evolution at Nitro 11.

Backstage, Lancelot promises a big reveal for his announcement later and that information he has about the Lone Star will lead to the cancelation of their Nitro match.

Queen Alexia goes up against Christine Buckley with something to prove ahead of Nitro. She expertly avoided the Buckshot and exploder suplex and hit the Queen’s Crown to win.

It’s Lancelot’s time to reveal his information. The Lone Star was already in the ring waiting for him when he got down. After some taunting, Lancelot just came out and said it: he believes the Lone Star is actually Garrett Gibson. Lone Star didn’t answer. So Lancelot taunted him some more. He provoked the big Texan and the two brawled out of the ring. It was Lone Star who introduced the kendo stick and, after several shots back and forth, he landed a shot squarely into Lancelot’s eye. The Nitro main event will be interesting.

Finally in the main event, Andrew Wesley and Franky Omega lock horns in a brutal street fight. The match is worth watching if you haven’t seen it but here are the highlights. Franky locked in the Arm Collector but Wesley got out. Omega hit two Omega Theories in the ring but continued the punishment outside. Wesley countered with a West of the Rising Sun off the steel steps before hitting an Omega Theory of his own through the announce table. He rolled Omega back into the ring and locked in his Redemption Lock to force his former best friend to tap out and end a profoundly emotional show.
