MORE CHALLENGES AND A LOT MORE HEAT

Queen Alexia returns to action for the first time since losing a #1 contenders match to Yamamoto as she steps into the ring to battle Sophia Sweetness. Alexia has not lost a step since her 2/3 falls match with Moto, pinning Sweetness after a hellacious backstabber. After the match, though, things got interesting. The lights went out and Igris and Dagonite appeared in the ring along with their Reaper District 7 partner. Igris berated the fans and promised the group was here to “clean up” Evolution and take titles from the people they called “undeserving.” But at least one man was not content to sit by. Lieter came on the jumbotron and chastised Dagonite for giving up on the Titans to follow Igris. Lieter promised to teach the big man one final lesson in a match at Bash at the Beach.

Backstage, Jon Gotti goes over several of the men who have caught his eye while he’s thinking about expanding the Gotti Crime Family but, as he says, it always comes back to Chandler Marcy, a man who Gotti has been very impressed by in the last couple weeks.

Yamamoto takes on former champion Katherine Sakamoto with Rise Champion Lazzara watching from ringside. During the match, the champ told our commentary desk she’d like to see Moto move out of trainer Kazuchika Okada’s shadow even more and start to embrace her own style. It was while she was saying this that Moto proved she has adopted the Rainmaker’s style quite well, hitting two Rainmakers to get the win. After the match, Lazzara slid into the ring presumably to deliver her advice to her challenger, but Moto had finally had enough of Lazzara’s attempted help. She shouldered the champ out of the way and left the ring without a word.

Backstage, the newly-anointed Ultimate Flight challenges the Gotti Crime Family in a match we learn will go down on the LIVE Admission Fee July 25th at 7pm ET!

Underground legend Braddock returns to the ring against former two-time Apex champion Kurt Andrews. Andrews has been riding high as his Rookie of the Year team has looked fantastic in the first two weeks of the series but the first RAW Champion brought him back down to earth. Braddock once again out-toughed his opponent, blasting him with a knee strike and knocking him out with a massive spinning powerslam. We got the announcement after the match that he and RAW Champion Santanico will officially sign their contract to fight at Bash next week.

TJ Frost was seething after Derrick Cole cost him a #1 contenders match last week and challenged anyone from the Las Vegas Connection to a fight next week. He’ll be taking on Marco Diaz on the final Evolution before Bash.

In the main event, rookie Adonis Carter takes on Apex Champion Derrick Cole after Carter earned this match on Rookie of the Year last week. Captain Kurt Andrews arranged for this match and the champ took it knowing how difficult Carter is to overcome. The rookie was a ball of energy- sometimes even to a fault has made accidental contact with the ref on two occasions- but the champ’s cool demeanor prevailed yet again. Cole withstood the attacks from the rookie and mashed him with a vicious spear to get the victory.

Next week, Hernandez & Park put their titles on the line against PBD, TJ Frost takes on Marco Diaz and Lee Carr goes for revenge against Angelo Diaz in a showcase week for the Las Vegas Connection.
