LAZZARA MAKES HER FIRST TITLE DEFENSE
There will be chaos to come on this show but before any of that, Garrett Gibson is practically tearing up the backstage area looking for Lancelot. The southern gentleman was so hell-bent on finding the Underground legend he even got physical with a member of security. Spoiler… he will find Lancelot later.
Our first match of the night sees Max Ultimate and Ramon Gutierrez take on Aussies Don’t Kneel. ADK was still reeling from Dagonite’s assault last week and it was apparent as the young bloods absolutely dominated the Aussies. Gutierrez got the win with a spectacular moonsault.
Speaking of Dagonite, he and Lieter took on Pretty Bad Deal for tag title #1 contendership. Immediately it was plain to see Dagonite was not here just to win, he was here to maim. But Lieter was all business, immediately tagging himself in when it seemed obvious Dagonite was going to overdo his offense yet again. But this was the last straw. Dagonite powerbombed Lieter and left the match, allowing PBD to pin the tag team legend and grab the win.
TJ Frost, a veteran of the Underground and a very dangerous man, will be making his debut in a three way match for Apex Title #1 contendership. He warned Cole directly that he was going to collect his “reward” by beating Cole for the title.
RAW Champion Santanico continued his path of dominance against Chris Alexa. Alexa is a few days away from entering the Rookie of the Year series and now he gets the chance to see a true legend up close. Unfortunately for Alexa, there’s a reason Santanico has been undefeated for over a year. The champ hit the Deadman’s Lobotomy to get the win.
After the match, though, the story was not Santanico. Braddock, one of the true titans of underground wrestling, debuted backstage by interrupting a Nick Grey interview. Braddock was the first ever RAW champion and now he wants that title back.
In the main event, Lazzara makes her first defense of the newly-named Rise Championship against former student Sophia Sweetness. Sweetness clearly learned a lot from the champ but, as Laz kept warning her, the veteran still has more tricks up her sleeve. Sweetness could not break down Lazzara’s defense and the champ finally hit a massive urinage for the win.
But before the show went off the air, Gibson has found Lancelot backstage. The former Lone Star was able to get the jump on Lancelot and put him viciously through a table to close the show.
