BLACK AND LASHLEY DEFEND

Last week, Aleister Black sent a message to Matt Riddle, saying once Riddle attacked Black from behind, Black knew he had won. This week, Matt Riddle responded, claiming he had to attack Black because he knew Black would try to return to his cheating ways when his back is against the wall. We’ll find out in our main event…

First, though, Bobby Lashley continues his quest to be the most dominant Intercontinental Champion in history as he defended his title against Kofi Kingston. The former champ gave everything he had to try to beat Lashley but it wasn’t enough as the Almighty dropped him with the Dominator for the 1-2-3. After the match, Ricochet ran into the ring to try to get the advantage ahead of his fight with Lashley at Bash at the Beach. It did not go well. Conor McGregor stopped the attack and Lashley put Ricochet in the stalling vertical suplex. Message sent.

Kairi Sane is searching for her first GAW win in over a year and she got another opportunity tonight against Marina Shaffir. Shaffir put up a valiant fight but, ultimately, Kairi Sane hit the Insane Elbow for the win, her first of the season. Later on, it was announced Sane will battle Ronda Rousey next week to crown a #1 contender to Dakota Kai’s World Championship!

Before we were able to move on, CM Punk found Conor McGregor backstage again and once again the two brawled around the locker room. It has been a viscous exchange of attacks between the two for weeks and we were told McGregor has a message to send next week; the Irishman will be in his first singles match ever on the final Storm before Bash at the Beach.

Next up, LAX’s Bandido took on Sin Cara. Bandido has been on the run of his GAW career and that continued in this contest as Bandido hit the heat seeker for the win. After the match, we found out Bandido will be in the Rumble on the Beach for an Intercontinental Championship match opportunity and he has to be considered one of the favorites.

Backstage, The Mighty Don’t Kneel officially challenged the Usos at Bash at the Beach for the Tag Team Titles. We found out the Usos accepted minutes later. This will be TMDK’s first championship match in GAW.

Our main event saw Aleister Black take on Matt Riddle with the World Title on the line. The match was brutal in its intensity and pace as we expected. But while Riddle was adamant that Black would call on the help of old friends when the match got close, Black (of course) never did. The champ mashed Riddle with a hellacious Black Mass to retain his title. After the match, WALTER came out to confront his Bash at the Beach opponent. While the stare-down didn’t come to blows, you could cut the tension between the two with a knife…
