THE HOUSE OF BLACK IS TERRIFYING
Less than one year after battling his former best friend in a vicious last man standing match, Keith Lee comes out to raucous cheers as the GAW Classic Champion. Lee thanked the fans for everything they did for him and said, as long as the fans are in the arena, he’ll never be alone. Lee is looking to Nitro and a potential World Championship but will it be Brock Lesnar who he faces? We’ll find that out in the main event.
Before that, though, Lesnar’s White Company partner Moose defends his Intercontinental Title for the first time against former champion Bandido. Despite the luchador’s best efforts, he couldn’t stop Moose’s power. The new champ finally hit the spear but, for the first time all season, Rey Mysterio got involved, pulling the referee out of the ring during the pin. It was a moment of hope for LAX as Mysterio’s desperation energized Bandido; but it was only a moment. Moose locked Bandido up in a brutal Camel Clutch to officially retain. After the match, he speared Rey Mysterio on the outside for good measure.
Next up, Ember Moon sends a statement to the woman she hopes will be her Nitro opponent Shayna Baszler. Moon took on former US champ Tegan Nox and Nox simply had no answer for Moon’s offense. Moon dismantled the former champ before hitting her Eclipse to win. Immediately afterword, Baszler thought she could get the drop on Moon but Moon once again showed her supreme quality, turning the attack aside and landing a few shots on Baszler for good measure.
You do not want to train with Aleister Black. That’s what Matt Riddle learned as we get our first look at the House of Black, the dangerous group Black alluded to last week. Black seemed extremely harsh on Riddle, even hitting him with a Black Mass during a training session…
Paul Heyman warned Chris Sabin not to go after the Intercontinental Title- it seems Sabin is not listening. He went out against Shelton Benjamin as retribution for Benjamin’s attack a few weeks ago and Sabin certainly made a statement. He survived two superkicks from Benjamin before hitting him with a Cradle Shock for the win.
After the match, Chris Danger walked out to the top of the ramp,,, and he was not alone. He was dragging out the unconscious body of Consequences Creed, Danger’s former friend and world-renowned YouTuber. Danger confirmed he will be fighting Creed at Nitro 11 in what promises to be a historic match.
It’s time for the main event as Brock Lesnar goes for his 13th title defense against Drew McIntyre fresh off his three-second victory over Tyler Bate. Before the match, Paul Heyman revealed Lesnar plans to break the all-time World Title defense record at Nitro against Keith Lee which means, if he is successful here, he will have to defend the title one more time before March 7. McIntyre hopes to put a stop to all that but he, like so many others, just could not conquer the Beast’s strength, power and skill. McIntyre’s Claymore attempts did not land, Lesnar brought out his usual compliment of suplexes before hitting the F5 to retain. During the celebration, Keith Lee came out to stare down the Beast; two titans in the middle of the ring set to clash at Nitro 11 but will Lesnar make it there??
