YOU BETTER BE WATCHING MUMBAI

Storm’s champions are marching into Mumbai facing some of their toughest challengers yet and we got to see exactly what some of those challengers are about on this show. Before we got to the ring, we saw Aleister Black standing over the prone body of Robbie Eagles. Black challenged Eagles and his tag team partner Ricochet to a tag match at Mumbai.

Our first match sees Bandido take on legendary junior heavyweight Kushida before Bandido challenges Keith Lee for the World Title. Kushida made his first GAW appearance in three years but Bandido is on a hot streak that even Kushida couldn’t overcome. Bandido successfully avoided the dangerous Hoverboard Lock and hit his spectacular backflipping fallaway slam to win.

After the match we got to hear from both War Machine and ZSJ & Ospreay ahead of their title match in Mumbai. Let’s just say this: the match will be furious.

wXw Unified Champion Drew McIntyre attacked Danny Burch at a Progress event last week, Claymoring him straight into a match on Storm. So, to get this straight, the wXw champ attacks a non-GAW wrestler at a Progress event and they have a match on Storm… what a crazy world we live in. It wasn’t a warm welcome to GAW for Burch, though, as McIntyre used his incredible catch as catch can skill to outwrestle him and get the win. It wasn’t all great for McIntyre, however; it took two Claymores to put Burch away, continuing a concerning trend for the wXw champ.

We got to see Shayna Baszler sit down with World Champion Kacy Catanzaro and Baszler did not pull any punches when talking about Catanzaro’s previous career. But the champ remained undeterred, assuring Baszler she’s the best wrestler in the world right now and Baszler will find out in Mumbai.

In the main event, Chris Sabin returns from injury to defend his Intercontinental Title for the first time since winning it at Nitro 11. He took on Low-Ki in his GAW debut and the match was simply brilliant. Go watch it if you haven’t seen it already, Sabin was at the top of his game and he needed to be as Low Ki hit him with every move in his arsenal. Sabin survived and his constant attacks on Low Ki’s torso paid off as he hit the Cradle Shock for the victory.

Storm: Mumbai is next week and it will be a can’t-miss event with titles on the line, the House of Black in action and a special guest appearance you have to see to believe!
