BANDIDO'S FIRST DEFENSE

We begin in the ring with two men who could really use a win. Pete Dunne is making a foray into the singles ranks for the first time in his GAW career. His opponent, Matt Riddle, is trying to recover after failing to take the World Title from Aleister Black. When these two men meet in the ring when only one can win, we’re bound to get fireworks. And after a cracking match, it was Pete Dunne who stood tall after an X Plex and a Bitter End.

Backstage, Conor McGregor made a short warning to Bandido: the Mob is not done with the new Intercontinental Champion.

Ronda Rousey battled Charlotte Flair in a a clash of submission specialists. But with nearly a dozen different submission holds between the two, it was the Rowdy One’s armbar that came out on top, tapping out the Queen. After the match, Rousey addressed World Champion Dakota Kai directly. She told Kai it’s time to put up or shut up and Ronda Rousey is coming for the World Title. Will Kai respond?? We’ll be seeing her in action next week!

Backstage, US Champion Bianca Belair followed Conor McGregor with another simple statement: she is the EST of the USA. She’ll be in action next week as well!

TMDK battled the Young Bucks and it seemed as though the sensational Jackson brothers had their minds elsewhere. Nick Miller took it straight to Matt Jackson and, without needing a single tag, planted Matt with a spinebuster to win.

Finally it’s time for our main event: Bandido defending his Intercontinental Championship for the first time against a legendary champion in his own right, Will Ospreay. The match was fast and furious as we expected but it was Bandido who retained, hitting the Heat Seeker, the move that started it all for him, to win his first defense.

But we were far from done. In the middle of his well-earned celebration, Bobby Lashley stormed down the ramp and, before anyone could move, he destroyed Bandido with a spear. Rey Mysterio tried to get into the ring to protect his protegee but Lashley speared him too. Standing tall over both men, Lashley drew a finger across his throat. He hoisted Bandido up for a Dominator and the Mob has officially stated their intention to regain the Intercontinental Title by any means necessary. Tune in next week for some follow up to this horrendous attack!
