A NEW ERA BEGINS
For the first time ever, GAW Academy Stormchaser is a weekly show! We start off proceedings with, who else, Eddie Hernandez. The face of the GAW Academy thanked all of you for supporting him and declared the future of GAW is now! He challenged any rookie who has not debuted on YouTube yet to come out to the ring and Igris answered. The son of underground legend Lancelot, Igris is known as “The Protégé” and he certainly lived up to his billing. After a hard-fought match, Hernandez beat the youngster with a Driveby. But the big story of the day came after the match as Hernandez got back on the mic to praise Igris. He was met by Academy legend Yun-Son Park and the two embraced. In an emotional conversation, Park thanked Hernandez for all he has done and Hernandez apologized for their early relationship. The two agreed to one match, one last time. We’ll of course have more information on when that match is going down very soon!
Next up came the #1 contender to the Academy Championship Kurt Andrews taking on Lieter. The two did battle for the better part of eight minutes and, after two failed attempts, Andrews finally got Lieter up into the Eye of the Storm and picked up his first win.
The main event was up next and saw Kaitlyn Dunlap take on Martina Del Sol, the woman that shockingly upset her in the Stormchaser tournament. The match was no DQ and it lived up to its billing in brutal fashion. Del Sol brought in a steel chair, the same weapon Dunlap used after their last match, and got some poetic justice by wrapping it around Dunlap’s stomach. But she couldn’t finish the deal and Dunlap countered the Red Eye with a devastating DDG to win the match.
But we’re not done! Lancelot came out promising an announcment on behalf of the GAW Academy. And boy did he deliver… Lancelot announced the Academy will be bringing in a commissioner for the first time ever. He announced Jason Parker, a man with extensive experience in media and talent relations across the world.
Parker came out to close the show, introducing himself to the crowd. He explained how his time growing up on the streets of New York taught him everything is earned and he will bring the same philosophy to the Academy. He closed the show by announcing La Tortuga Roja will battle his former student Jackel in the main event of next week’s episode. Make sure to subscribe to see those two go at it for the first time ever!
