The Titans Defend... But
With Northern Lights a month away, the GAW Academy gets down to business. Lee Carr returns to the ring in our first match and the Ultimate Cinderella hasn’t lost a step. He got into the ring against Seth Woods coming off his challenge for the RAW Title and Carr looked as good as always. He hit the tag team specialist with the now-legendary Green Out to get the win. After the match, though, things got worse for Carr. His old nemesis Oliver Parker came out to confront him and warned him about the bloody fate that could be in his future. We would find out later Oliver Parker will be fighting in the main event next week on Stormchaser against Xavier Cross.
Yun-Son Park admitted he wasn’t ready to step back into the ring after his match against Omega Woods at America the Beautiful 2 but he forced himself back in against one of GAW’s most terrifying competitors: Lars Nightfall. Nightfall was angry and Park was not even close to 100% and all that meant a bad day for the former GAW Cruiserweight Champion. Nightfall destroyed Park with three straight Nightmares, forcing the referee to stop the match before Park was seriously hurt. But when Nightfall went back for a fourth Nightmare, Eddie Hernandez ran to the ring. Hernandez was the one who brought Nightfall to GAW and he hoped he could talk the giant out of hurting Hernandez’s friend. He got a thrust kick to the mouth for his troubles and Nightfall laid a boot into Park’s ribs on his way out.
Things did not get prettier in our next match.
Sophia Sweetness got her second match against Lazzara, this time after Lazzara had taken Sweetness under her wing. It was undeniable Sweetness was better now than in their last match but Lazzara is still one of the best wrestlers in the world. She jumped through the ropes to hit a Canadian destroyer, went to the top rope and hit a glorious shooting star press for the win. After the match, though, Sweetness showed her true colors. She hit Lazzara from behind with a Sweet Shot and left her lying in the ring.
Backstage, Jackel makes it clear he intends to win championships in GAW now.
In our main event, the Titans defend their Tag Team Titles for the first time since they won them after months of ducking challengers. But of course the Titans had other ideas. They announced the Titans rules mean Vick Cassidy can’t compete this week (probably because the Titans had beaten him down backstage) and so Isaiah Hannibal had to take on the Titans by himself. The WAR member fought valiantly but it wasn’t enough. The Titans hit a Doomsday Device to retain in disgusting fashion.
Next week, a mystery opponent will challenge Jackel and Sophia Sweetness will speak!
