HERNANDEZ RETURNS TO ACTION

Last week the Wing Collectors asked Jason Parker for a rematch with the Las Vegas Connection without the threat of the Titans interfering. This week they get that chance. Franky Omega and Andrew Wesley took full advantage of the opportunity as they dominated Marco Diaz and Derrick Cole. Franky Omega hit the Omega Theory on Cole and Wesley warded Diaz away for the Wing Collectors to win.

Eddie Hernandez returns to action against Ramon Gutierrez. It was a fast-paced affair between two lucha libre-trained standouts. It seemed like Hernandez was in over his head when his back gave out on a powerslam, allowing Gutierrez to hit the Derota. But Hernandez is made of tougher stuff than that. He kicked out of Gutierrez’s finishing move, hit a brutal running knee strike and a diving double foot stomp for the win.

After the match, though, things got worse for the face of the GAW Academy. Chris Danger returned and accused Hernandez of being too intimidated to lash out at Danger. The YouTube superstar dared Hernandez to hit him but Eddie refused. It was the wrong decision. Danger came up from behind Hernandez and dropped him with a brutal superkick. We learned later on in the show Danger will be making his GAW debut against Eddie Hernandez at Winterfest!

Lars Nightfall made his return against Chandler Marcy following Nightfall’s victory over Hernandez at Northern Lights. He showed his dominance against the former football standout, hitting Marcy with the Nightmare to win.

In the main event, Kaitlyn Dunlap got her long-anticipated rematch with Lazzara as Dunlap continues her quest to become Academy Champion. Lazzara stepped up on behalf of champion Ballesca Pierce to take on her old nemesis. Once again the tension between these women was palpable and the match was as hard-hitting as you like. Lazzara went for her famous Make My Fortune but, as has become the pattern, Dunlap turned it into a brutal lariat. She finished Lazzara off with the Superiority for the win and she seems primed to take on Pierce for the Academy Title.

Jason Parker announced the Titans will defend the Academy Tag Team Champions against the Wing Collectors in the main event next week!
