MASSIVE WIN STREAKS CONTINUE!

Max Ultimate is not known as a guy who’s going to stir the pot. But, shockingly, the promising rookie out of Boston came to the ring to open the show tonight. Ultimate called out Lancelot specifically, saying he hasn’t done enough to be considered the #1 contender to Kurt Andrews’ Academy Title. The rookie claimed his improvement makes him the natural #1 contender and he will prove that soon. Ultimate will return to the ring on Dark September 15.

Our first match sees Jackel step into the ring against Joshua Moore. As great as Jackel has been the last few months, this match was about Moore. He showed a level of athleticism few had ever seen from him and it took Jackel off guard. But the young luchador was up to the challenge as unexpected as it was. He hit the Second City Wrestling product with the vicious powerbomb he’s added to his arsenal to pick up the victory.

Of all the people to see on the show, it appears Ulysses Sky and Kaitlyn Dunlap may be returning to GAW “soon.”

Igris is one of the top young prospects in GAW but he’s fallen on tough times lately. Today he went up against another prospect looking for a big win in Xavier Cross. Igris is widely known as the most intelligent young prospect in the world but no amount of intelligence can get you out of the Kronwalled Hawk Slayer. For just the third time in his GAW career, Cross locked in the deadly submission and got the win.

After the match, Academy Women’s Champion Ballesca Pierce made her first appearance since winning the title at Northern Lights. Humble as ever, she thanked the fans for their support. She asked specifically for Lazzara to come out and said, in no uncertain terms, she believed she will not be a real champion until she beats Lazzara.

Derrick Cole steps into the ring for his first match since introducing the Las Vegas Connection to GAW. It was a difficult match against a dangerous opponent in Isaiah Hannibal. The athlete of WAR did more against Cole than most but he, like so many others before him, couldn’t overcome the vicious Heisman Kick.

Backstage, Jason Parker addressed the situation with the Titans. He said he couldn’t in good conscience give the Wing Collectors a title shot without them earning it but assured us the days of the Titans running from matches are over. Only time will tell if that’s going to be effective.

Our main event sees MidNight put his RAW Title on the line for the ninth time. Yamamoto Kobayshi of Island Nation was the man to challenge him this time around and he got closer than almost anyone to finally dethroning the first ever RAW Champion. The Graveyard Shift nearly put MidNight down for the count but Kobayshi learned the same lesson over a dozen opponents have learned before: MidNight is tough. The champ kicked out and blasted Kobayshi with a massive Sleep Walker for the win. MidNight is now more than halfway toward breaking the GAW record for most title defenses in a single reign. WALTER currently holds the record at 16.

Next week, Omega Woods will step back into the ring against Xavier Cross in the main event!
