TEAM LVC DEBUTS BUT WOODS IS HUTNED
Scott Danielson is back. After a vicious match with Lancelot that saw the Underground legend come out on top, Danielson becomes the first of Lancelot’s victims to return to the fold. He takes on Joshua Moore, still looking for his first GAW win. Early on, Moore crashed knees-first to the ground as Danielson avoided a dive from the rookie and Danielson took control. He hit the Real Man’s Military Press, then the Bladerunner to pick up the win. After the match, the former Academy Champion got on the mic. He called out Devon Andrews, brother of the Academy Champion, for his arrogance and challenged him to a match. Later in the show, Jason Parker found Danielson backstage and confirmed Devon Andrews doesn’t officially work for GAW so Parker can’t make the match.
After another video package advertising Ulysses Sky and Kaitlyn Dunlap, the Goddess finally makes her return from injury. The woman who helped change the GAW Academy is finally back and she takes on Suzuki. While Thunderbolt gave her some real issues, this night was all about Kaitlyn Dunlap. She hasn’t lost a step in her time off; she hit the DDG and picked up the win.
Backstage, Lancelot responds to Max Ultimate’s challenge from last week. The Underground legend was short and sweet, informing Max Ultimate in no uncertain terms he would be happy to shorten Ultimate’s career in his quest to become Academy champ.
The Las Vegas Connection makes their debut as a tag team against the Woods Club. Derrick Cole and Marco Diaz showed everything you want to see from a team: individual dominance and team success. Marco Diaz ran wild during the match, forcing several close pin breakups from the Woods Club. Ultimately, Derrick Cole got in and hit the Cole Cut on Lace Woods to win.
Jackel has certainly turned heads with his antics in the past but now we finally know the young luchador’s goal: win the RAW Title from MidNight.
In our main event, Omega Woods takes on Xavier Cross fresh off Cross’s win last week over Igris. Woods immediately went after the arm of Cross and it paid off: when Cross tried to lock in the Kronwalled Hawk Slayer after avoiding the Gunslinger, he couldn’t get the grip he needed. Woods stayed one step ahead of him after that and won the match with a vicious powerbomb.
But the night wasn’t done yet.
The incredibly dangerous Sam Hunt came up behind Woods while he was celebrating his win and used a baseball bat to brutalize the man who beat Yun-Son Park. For the second time in three weeks, Hunt hit the Thrill of the Hunt and left his victim laying to end the night.
Next week, Lancelot will fight Max Ultimate for the right to face Kurt Andrews for the Academy Title!
